Director of Hospitality & Events - Kingston Heath Golf Club

Apply your senior hospitality, events and service leadership experience to one of Australia’s most respected private members’ golf clubs and help shape the next stage of Kingston Heath’s club experience.

Founded in 1909 and located on the famed Melbourne Sandbelt, Kingston Heath Golf Club is steeped in heritage and tradition. Its purpose is to provide a world-class golf course, with unique and memorable golf and club experiences. Its values of Respect, Excellence and Welcoming underpin the experience it seeks to provide for members, families, guests and visitors.

Kingston Heath is also preparing to host the 2028 Presidents Cup, one of golf’s major international events, creating a timely opportunity to continue strengthening the Club’s hospitality, events and guest hosting standards.

We are now seeking a Director of Hospitality & Events to join Kingston Heath’s senior leadership team.

Reporting to the General Manager, this important role will lead the Club’s Hospitality & Events portfolio, including member dining, guest hosting, functions, service presentation, team performance, commercial outcomes and related systems or process improvements.

The role will work closely with the General Manager, Director of Golf and broader senior leadership team to ensure hospitality and event delivery is coordinated with Kingston Heath’s wider member and guest experience.

Your priorities will include leading and developing a high-performing service team; delivering premium, consistent and proudly understated service standards; supporting the planning and delivery of member, guest and major events; and contributing to the Club’s strategic priorities across member experience, identity, membership and sustainability.

To be considered for the role, you are likely to bring:

  • senior leadership experience in hospitality, private club, hotel, resort, events, service or a comparable premium member/guest environment

  • strong people leadership capability, with experience developing high-performing service teams

  • demonstrated ability to deliver premium, consistent and personalised service standards

  • strong food and beverage understanding, including service delivery, cost control, quality, value, compliance and member expectations

  • commercial and financial literacy, including budget, revenue, cost and performance accountability

  • strong communication and stakeholder management capability

  • professional judgement, discretion and maturity suited to a leading private members’ club

  • systems confidence and an improvement mindset.

Experience with private members’ clubs, golf clubs, major events, Northstar, MiClub, Canva, AI tools or comparable systems will be well regarded.

Candidates from hotel, resort, events, service and premium hospitality environments are encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate the leadership capability, service judgement, golf knowledge and appreciation of private club culture required for this appointment.

This is a senior leadership opportunity with meaningful operational breadth and clear development potential for the right candidate.  A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with the role and their credentials.
